We now have plans to return to Casa Veintiuno to dog and house sit in May for 2+ weeks.
We are also looking forward to meeting with neighbors and a general contractor to discuss renovation plans for the house and decide what can be started and completed before we actually move onto the island. It will feel good and maybe a little scary to finally have some concrete plans and timetables.
I have now applied and been enrolled in the Global Entry Trusted Traveller Program in the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol. Since Estie was already enrolled in the program, we now expect our future, repeated trips to be a bit easier. Pre-screened TSA checking should minimize the time in security on departures from the U.S. And the Trusted Traveller status will allow us to skip stops at Customs and Immigration when returning to the U.S. Should be well worth the $100 for 5 years that it costs.
