Had a discussion with the show's Casting Producer and found that the house needs to be mostly finished with some furniture etc. in order for them to film the "reveal" at the end of the show.
So we're off the list for a while, unless they create a spin-off that includes renovation stories. Estie was bummed out but I thought it was great to be considered and we're still in the mix for later. All in all, an interesting experience, that I'm sure will continue. And I've always looked at the house as more than just a house/retirement etc. It has been a wonderfully optimistic symbol of our future and keeps us going through all kinds of ups and downs. Pretty nice example of grace in the form of concrete block and terracotta shingles :-)
