Saw an article on the second page of this newsletter about the medical mission that was planned for January 2012.
It turned out to be the first medical mission Estie participated in, immediately after the house purchase. It's a very well run operation for a very good cause. We highly recommend donating or volunteering. They don't turn anyone away. If you can help carry something, run errands, or just spend time with the local folks waiting for medical care, you will be welcomed. So you don't need medical skills but they would certainly be appreciated. Contact information can be found in the newsletter. And it's affiliated with the Dominican Dreams Project which is a very large very respected effort on the island.
